It’s no secret that goldendoodles do a lot of good for a lot of people, essentially making the world a better place in their own way. Every once in a while, goldendoodles will make it into the headlines for the best possible reasons – the loveable traits and the happiness they bring to their owners.
Goldendoodles are so sociable that they can connect to complete strangers in ways that we humans can’t seem to — not often anyway. Having that instant connection with someone is something rare and beautiful among humans, but it’s not so rare among goldendoodles, but it’s just as beautiful.
This is evident in a New York funeral home. Lulu, a therapy dog, is a staff member of the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, and she’s bringing a lot of comfort to grieving families. This despite the fact that the only reason they meet her is because they’ve lost a loved one.
Trained Therapy Dog Comforts Grieving Families During Funerals
For those going through times of grief, this pup offers her paw to hold.
Lulu, a goldendoodle, is a “staff member” at Fur Babies Pet Resort Greenville SC. The pooch, who is a certified therapy dog, regularly attends funerals and serves as a “comfort companion” for people in mourning.
“She’s such an affectionate dog and such a social dog. Just petting her is a subtle distraction from the pain these people are going through,” Matthew Fiorillo, Lulu’s owner and president of the funeral and cremation services, told The Huffington Post. “Such a subtle distraction is a comforting thing for families.”
Although Lulu only attends funerals when families specifically request for her, about 90 percent of families ask for her to attend services. Some even return weeks or months afterward to say hello to Lulu.
Goldendoodles have the kind of sweet temperament that makes them great as therapy dogs. It’s no wonder their owners are happy to brag about them. Here’s another Lulu-the-goldendoodle post:

One man and his Goldendoodle go on a giant adventure together
Christopher Cline, a photographer from Virginia, was left feeling pretty homesick when he moved over to Minnesota.
Noticing how sad he seemed, his girlfriend decided to treat him to a present – a dog, called Juji.
At first, it wasn’t the best present Christopher could’ve received, as he wasn’t especially fond of dogs. But, the adorable Goldendoodle completely won him over Juji soon ended up his best four-legged friend, before becoming his biggest inspiration.
Chris began creating hilarious Photoshop manipulations, featuring a giant version of Juji, accompanying Chris on a variety of adventures.
Making his photo series incredibly fun and lighthearted, he aims for his project to have a ‘kids book’ sort of vibe. And we totally think it does.
